Community Based Instruction

Picture
One special part of the severe disabilities program at Storer is Community Based Instruction (CBI). This is when either groups of students or the entire class leave the school to take trips into the community to enhance your child's learning. These trips allow student's to practice proper social behaviors and participate in actual functional tasks. Some past CBI trips were:going out to eat, grocery shopping, visiting Minnetrista, and going to the Muncie Children's Museum.

Because of the growth in our number this year, we currently have no Community Based Instruction outings scheduled at this time, but we hope to start our outings in the near future.
