Theme Time/Game Time
On Tuesday afternoons the two classrooms of students with severe disabilities (Mrs. B's class/Mrs. Kingsley's Class) participate in "theme time activities". Our occupational therapist (Mrs. Atkinson) is our third teacher in our three week rotation.
Each teacher prepares an activity (either sensory/fine motor, cooking or crafts) based on our chosen theme. The students are divided into three groups and the teachers do the activity for the three weeks of each theme, the groups of students are rotated each week allowing for them to participate in all three different activities.
On Wednesday afternoon we do the same rotation/activities, this time doing group games, board games, and additional fine motor/sensory activities.
